In Patient Hospitalization
Hospitalization Process
Your doctor would have discussed with you on the date for your hospitalization. If hospitalization is found to be necessary after diagnosis as an outpatient, the date would be discussed and fixed with you. There could be a waiting period if beds are not available and would be fixed at the earliest. In-Patient Hospitalization is admission of patient in a Hospital for treatment. On the day of hospitalization, patient should come to the Reception for admission into the Hospital. Either the patient or patient attendant should complete the admission procedure and would be informed on the hospital ward. Typically the following documents would be required,
- Patient Admission Form
- Health Insurance Card
- Pre-approved Insurance form for cashless treatment
- If not covered under Health Insurance, cash payment for admission
An attendant is not required during ICU hospitalization as registered nurses are on duty. Attendant would be allowed during hospitalization. After the treatment is complete and when your doctor has approved your discharge, discharge process can be initiated. Nurses and supervisor would assist you with the discharge process and all the necessary documents needs to be submitted if the hospitalization is based on cashless treatment. Discharge summary, reports and total bill would be provided for non Insurance patients.
