Uses of Anesthesia

Local Anesthesia treatment numbs a small area of the patient body. Local Anesthesia is used in procedures like dental tooth extract, cataract surgery or skin biopsy.

Regional Anesthesia treatment blocks pain in the larger part of the patient body like everything below hip. Examples of Regional Anesthesia are knee surgery and hand surgery.

General Anesthesia treatment makes the patient unconscious and insensitive to pain. General Anesthesia is used for invasive surgeries.

Sedation is a treatment where the patient is put to sleep during the surgical procedure. Example of sedation is cardiac surgeries.
