Dentistry is the diagnosis and treatment of the teeth, gums, mouth and jaw.
Root canal treatment is a procedure by which the pulp is removed from the tooth. Pulp is the nerve of the tooth and when it becomes damaged it is removed and filled with filling material.
Tooth decay causes a cavity in the teeth and this cavity is treated with dental fillings. Dentist removes the decay and the cavity is cleaned and sealed with filling material.
Dental crowns are permanent crowns placed on weak or damaged teeth to protect and cover the teeth.
Braces are dental support tool to correct and align the teeth slowly and over a period of time straighten the teeth.
Dentures are artificial teeth that are replaced for natural teeth. Either affected teeth can be replaced or complete set of teeth can be replaced with Dentures. These can be removed when we want to remove it.
Dental implants are artificial teeth used to replace missing teeth. This is a surgical procedure which requires to first implant a screw type titanium holder for the teeth. Then an artificial tooth is fitted on top of the titanium holder. This is a permanent fixture.
Orthodontic treatment is used to fix and correct jaw abnormalities. Jaw abnormalities can be fixed by specialized techniques and would require the patient with multiple visits to the doctor.
Hyperdontia is abnormal condition that causes tooth size to be big in oral cavity and it is removed or treated with help of artificial tooth.
